Flipping the Narrative Script: The APHSA Journey
The Kresge Foundation believes that “everyone should have the chance to reach their full potential, no matter who they are or where they live.” The Foundation aims to make this vision a reality by centering racial equity and working with partners in the field to advance social and economic mobility, driven by a two-generation approach to ensure economic success from one generation to the next. They are working to help people understand the narratives around poverty, race, and economic mobility, and how to advance more productive narratives. Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity, in partnership with Kresge, has created a new video series that highlight real-world examples of narrative change from the field. The videos feature the narrative change work of Kresge grantees American Public Human Services Association, First 5 Alameda County, and Ascend at The Aspen Institute.
