The inequity was almost jarring to Peter Hunt as he drove down a California highway a few weeks ago. Motorists who have the money can pay to get to their destination faster by opting to use a premium express lane. But poor and in a rush? You’re out of luck, forced to sit in traffic in the cheaper, more congested lanes. The situation made Hunt, the host of Candid Camera, so upset he was moved to write an op-ed in the New York Times decrying the so-called ‘Lexus lanes,’ on Interstate 680 in northern California.”
