Thad Altman sponsored SB 556 to establish the first-ever Florida Council on Poverty within the Department of Economic Opportunity. This legislation takes an important step in fighting poverty and creating more opportunities for people to succeed in Florida by bringing a wide variety of individuals and agencies together to combat inequality in our state.”
