NV Anti-Poverty Program Gets a Boost from Whole Foods

“An anti-poverty program called ‘Getting Ahead’ is getting a boost from the Whole Foods store in Reno. The store is donating five percent of its sales this Thursday the 11th to the program, which is a part of the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. The Getting Ahead program is a 16-week course that educates people on how to break free from poverty. It began in 2008 and has helped 350 people get back on their feet, so far.”
