Low-income families receive expanded food options for WIC

“The West Virginia Department of Health (DH) is making some new changes to the state’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. According to a DH release, the amount of money available to low-income families within the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program has increased. This expansion allows for more purchases of fruits and vegetables as well as more flexibility to buy foods from different cultures.”
