La. lawmakers approve millions in funding to help low-income families afford proper childcare
“In the final hours of the 2023 legislative session, Louisiana lawmakers approved $44 million in new funding to early care and education. A few parents said early childhood education has become an incredible expense for people across the state. The money will go towards the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), a state funded program that provides financial assistance to low-income families while they are working or attending school.”
