July 16 Forum – Black Homeownership Gap: Research Trends and Why the Growing Gap Matters

The black homeownership rate is lower now than it was fifty years ago. The Urban Institute will host a discussion about research on the growing homeownership gap with Arthur Acolin, assistant professor at the University of Washington; Jaya Dey, senior economist at Freddie Mac; Jung Hyun Choi, research associate at the Urban Institute; Susan Wachter, professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School; and Alanna McCargo, vice president of the Urban Institute’s Housing Finance Policy Center.
