Expecting an economic rebound? Survey says count lower-income Americans out
“Household spending expectations tumbled to a near four-year low in April, led by lower-income Americans, a report out Monday showed. Respondents to the New York Fed’s Survey of Consumer Expectations see household spending rising 2.58% over the coming year. That’s the lowest in the history of the survey, which began in June 2013. Spending expectations have been on a downward slope ever since then.”
