Posted on

Research often paints conflicting pictures of the effectiveness of early childhood programs, particularly for low-income students. The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) will host a discussion with prominent education scholars on the state of pre-k research and how it can guide policy. Speakers include Timothy Bartik, senior economist at the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research; Dale C. Farran, professor at Vanderbilt University; William T. Gormley Jr., professor at Georgetown University; and Russ Whitehurst, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. The event will be held at AEI in Washington, D.C. from 9:30 – 11 a.m. EST.
