April 17 Forum – What We Know about the Effects of Pre-K in 6 Consensus Statements
Across the country, states and cities are investing more funds in pre-K programs in an effort to help children from disadvantaged families increase their school readiness. A group of leading pre-K researchers will present the results of a collaboration designed to produce a consensus on the state of knowledge on pre-K education, followed by two panel discussions. Speakers include Candice McQueen, Commissioner of Education for Tennessee; Ajay Chaudry, professor at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Services; and Helen Ladd, senior fellow at the Brown Center on Education Policy. The event will be held at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. EDT. Click here to register.
