Americans’ Views of Race

Pew Research Center released new data on Americans’ views of race. Over half of U.S. adults say race relations are generally bad, and majorities of black, Asian and Hispanic Americans report experiencing unfair treatment or discrimination because of their race or ethnicity. About six out in ten adults say that being white helps a person’s ability to get ahead – but black and white Americans point to different reasons for that.
