Youth Workforce Development Benefits Young Workers and Business Partners

Reimagine Retail, an Initiative of the Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program, partners with youth organizations, including YouthBuild Philly, to support improved job quality and stability for youth entering the workforce. A new report explores how YouthBuild Philly combats structural inequalities by preparing young people to succeed through skills training and connection to promising job opportunities. To ensure success, YouthBuild Philly also collaborates with local retailers to train supervisors on supportive management practices that foster an inclusive culture and lead to increased job retention of these young workers.
