US 2050: Series on How Demographics Affect Economic Health

US 2050 is a series of reports analyzing how the changing demographics of America will shape its future fiscal and economic health. The initiative of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation and the Ford Foundation commissioned reports from 31 leading scholars in areas including poverty, labor economics and sociology. A summary report highlights the papers’ findings on the size and composition of the labor force, investments in children, levels of education, care and retirement for an aging population and the polarized political system. In conjunction with the project, Pew Research released a new survey on what Americans believe the United States will be like in 2050.
