June 29 Forum – Divergence in American Life Expectancy

Over the past 100 years, life expectancy in the United States has increased by about 25 years, but certain demographic groups – notably older whites and low-income Americans – are being left behind. The Hamilton Project will host a forum addressing life expectancy trends and exploring policy options to close the life expectancy gap. Speakers include Robert Rubin, former U.S. Treasury Secretary; Anne Case, professor at Princeton University; and Angus Deaton, Nobel Laureate in Economics. The event will be held at The Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., from 2-4 p.m. EDT. Click here to register.
