An event hosted by the Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program will explore the issues and opportunities facing gig workers – the growing class of independent contractors spurred by platforms such as TaskRabbit, Airbnb, and Uber. Speakers include Jake Biscoglio, vice president for strategic growth initiatives at Prudential Financial; Lindsey Cameron, PhD candidate at the University of Michigan; Joshua Karam, co-founder and CEO at Hyr; and Eric Morath, reporter on labor economics and policy at the Wall Street Journal.
