New York City diversity plan to prioritize school seats for low-income families

“New York City Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza on Wednesday announced a district-wide plan to increase middle school diversity on the Upper West Side and in South Harlem. The diversity plan will prioritize 25 percent of its seats during the admissions process for students from low-income families with lower academic performance.”
