June 10 – A Bipartisan Discussion on Paid Family Leave with Senators King and Fischer
Paid family leave is pro-work, pro-family, and enjoys widespread public support across the country. A recent BPC poll confirmed that paid family leave is critical to getting workers back to work as the nation recovers from the pandemic. One tool that is available to help employers provide a paid leave benefit is the Strong Families Act tax credit. This existing credit is intended to help companies provide parental, family caregiving and medical leave. Join the Bipartisan Policy Center for a discussion with the authors of the Strong Families Act Senators Deb Fischer and Angus King. The conversation will explore details of the program, how we ensure that employers take advantage of the credit to expand access to leave benefits for their employees, and the lessons learned from this bipartisan achievement. The event will take place on Thursday, June 10 at 2:30 p.m. EST.
