January 21 Webinar – The Hidden Financial Lives of America’s Poor and Middle Class
The financial lives of low- and middle-income American households have changed substantially in the past decade. New research suggests that current programs and policies intended to alleviate poverty and create opportunity are based on outdated conceptions of low-income Americans’ finances. The first of a two-part webinar series from the Stanford Social Innovation Review will present that research, its implications, and recommendations for designing new programs to help improve the lives of low-income Americans. Speakers include Jonathan Morduch, professor of policy and economics at New York University; Rachel Schneider, senior vice president of the Center for Financial Services Innovation; and Diana Elliott, research manager at the Pew Charitable Trusts. The webinar will be held from 2-3 p.m. EST. Click here to register.
