December 7 Forum – The Digitalization of the American Workforce
Although rapid technological advancement can create entire new industries and jobs, research shows that the benefits may not reach low- and middle-income workers without policies to help boost digital skills. The Brookings Institution will host a discussion about how city and state leaders can ensure that digitalization helps all workers. Speakers include Elizabeth Lindsey, executive director of Byte Back; Byron Auguste, CEO of Opportunity@Work; Jeff Mazur, executive director of LaunchCode; Robin LaChapelle, vice president of human resources at MedImmune; and Steve LeVine, editor at Axios.
