Average Student Loan Debt Continues to Climb
A new report from the Institute for College Access & Success finds that average student debt for American college graduates continued to grow in 2017, with 65 percent of graduates in debt and owing an average of $28,650. Student loan burdens are disproportionately borne by students of color, low-income students, and first-generation college students, according to the report.
