Turning houses into homes: Lacasa to open new housing for low-income families in Goshen
“Lacasa Inc. of Goshen has been working with low-income residents since 1970 and have rehabilitated more than 100 homes in Elkhart county. Tuesday, yet another affordable housing option will open its doors to low-income families at 410 East Jefferson Street. Four one-bedroom units will be included inside the home, which was completely gutted upon being purchased in 2016. Throughout the more than six-year process, approximately 800 volunteer hours have been put into the home from the combined efforts of 164 volunteers.”
