Even though the U.S. workforce is set to expand by 7.4% up to 2026, a long list of jobs are set to see their staff levels contract. The Bureau of Labor Statistics tracks both current and projected employment levels in 818 occupations with around 17% set to lose a considerable share of their workers by 2026.β
