AEI will host a conversation with New York Times journalist Jason DeParle on his new book A Good Provider Is One Who Leaves: One Family and Migration in the 21st Century. The book explores a wide range of economic, political, and cultural facets of contemporary immigration through the story of a Filipino family from a Manila shantytown that he first met in the early 1980s.
