September 1-14, 2010: Public Religion Research Institute American Values Survey—Nationwide survey solicits the public’s views on raising the minimum wage.

“(Now, I’d like to get your views on some issues that are being discussed in the country today.) All in all, do you strongly favor, favor, oppose, or strongly oppose…increasing the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $10.00 an hour? (Repeat as necessary:) Do you strongly favor, favor, oppose, or strongly oppose?”

Methodology: Conducted by Public Religion Research Institute, September 1 – September 14, 2010 and based on 3,013 telephone interviews. Sample: national adult. The survey was made possible by funding from the Ford Foundation, with additional support from the Nathan Cummings Foundation. Interviews were conducted by Directions in Research. 2413 respondents were interviewed on landline telephones, and 600 were interviewed on cell phones. [USPRRI.10VALUES.R09D]
