Seattle to invest more than $7 million to help get food to seniors, homeless residents

Seattle is investing more than $7 million in programs helping to get food to seniors and people experiencing homelessness during the novel coronavirus pandemic, the city announced this week.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated food insecurity issues that impact some of our most vulnerable residents, including older adults and people experiencing homelessness,” Mayor Jenny Durkan said in a statement”
