Relief payments to be sent to thousands in New Mexico
“Economic relief payments will begin to be distributed to New Mexicans. The payments will be processed on July 26. The one-time payment will be sent to qualifying state households with the lowest incomes. The payments varying from $500 to $1000 should be included in most people’s bank accounts in about two business days. The relief payments will be sent to 26,085 applicants, a vast majority will be paid directly through direct deposit. Nearly 6,800 applicants will receive a paper check, which is expected to come shortly after direct deposits are processed.”
