“As a result of the pandemic, gender inequality is increasing dramatically as the number of women in the workforce dwindles. According to a recent Vox article, by the end of summer 2020, there were 2.2 million fewer women in the U.S. workforce than the same time last year. That same article noted that in the late ’80s, there were more employed women (and women actively seeking jobs) than there are currently.”
