OK, seems simple enough. And if we give them more money then they’ll be above that line and we will have solved poverty. Again, seems simple enough. Except the American system tends to give people things, not money, to alleviate poverty. Section 8 vouchers, Snap, Medicaid. And we don’t count these when we count why is still in poverty.”
