(Opinion) Get alternative facts out of family planning

“The Affordable Care Act connected more women to family planning services like screenings, comprehensive access to a wide array of birth control, and counseling than ever before. Planned Parenthood was key to this success as the sometimes sole operator of clinics for poor patients in low-income and rural areas.

Americans across the political and ideological spectrum should agree that a drop in unintended pregnancies is a good thing. It makes no sense for the American Health Care Act to single out Planned Parenthood, the engine behind this bipartisan victory for women’s health. But it does.”
