October 8 – Getting the Most Bang for the Education Buck
Much of the focus on school funding challenges has been on raising more money, increasing salaries, and instituting more equitable funding. The American Enterprise Institute and the Thomas B. Fordham Institute are hosting a research conference on getting the most bang for the education buck and how current education dollars can be spent more effectively. The first panel will analyze current funding and budget challenges, the second panel will discuss strategies and suggestions for how to get more from the K–12 buck, and the third panel will talk about practical problems and opportunities for doing the most good for students. The livestreamed event will be held in Washington, DC from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ET.
