The Urban Institute will host a discussion on how policymakers and employers can help workers move beyond the first step of securing a job to a longer-term career. Speakers include Brenda Dann-Messier, Rhode Island Postsecondary Commissioner; Harry Holzer, professor of public policy at Georgetown University; Yvonne Lau, dean of academic affairs and career pathways at Instituto del Progreso Latino; and Jennie Sparandara, head of workforce strategy at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
