November 19 – Place-Based Policymaking and Cities After 2020

Posted on

Join AEI for part two of a three-part series on the future of cities after 2020, featuring Edward Glaeser, John Lettieri, Adam Ozimek, and Aaron M. Renn in discussion with AEI’s Ryan Streeter on the geography of opportunity and inequality and the prospects and limits of place-based policymaking and its alternatives. Geographic inequality in America has grown more pronounced over the past few decades as urban neighborhoods increasingly segregate by income level and affluent metro areas grow economically distant from small towns and rural areas. What should policymakers do to ensure opportunity is more widely available in and around metro areas? The event will take place on Thursday, November 19 at 3 p.m. EST.
