November 15 Forum – Promoting Economic Opportunity: Models That Work

A handful of thriving cities are developing innovative public and private programs that boost economic opportunities for their low- and moderate-income residents, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, and Washington, D.C. The Urban Institute and the Citi Foundation will host a discussion about urban strategies to tackle poverty and increase economic opportunity. Speakers include Ja’Ron Smith, White House director of urban affairs and revitalization policy; Bob Annibale, global director at the Citi Foundation; Gretchen Beesing, CEO of Catalyst Miami; Sheldon Danziger, president of the Russell Sage Foundation, and Carla Javits, president and CEO of the Roberts Enterprise Development Fund.
