Muslim-American free clinic a ‘blessing’ to uninsured, low-income patients of all faiths
“The clinic began in 2010 in a trailer on the Islamic Center of Northeast Florida campus on St. Johns Bluff Road. Medical services were offered every other Sunday. After a fundraising campaign, the clinic in 2014 relocated and expanded into a building adjacent to the center and is now open four days a week. The motivation behind the clinic’s initial founding was both humanitarian and patriotic.”
