May 9 Forum – New Directions for Communities: How They Can Boost Neighborhood Health

A large body of research shows that in America today, where you live can have a significant impact on your health and life expectancy. The Brookings Institution will host a forum on how governments and community organizations can act to improve the health of local communities. Speakers include Paula Riechel, advocacy and nutrition education director at the Capital Area Food Bank; Adrianne Todman, executive director of the District of Columbia Housing Authority; and Garth Graham, president of the Aetna Foundation.
