May 8 Forum – Zoning, Taxing, Hoarding: Housing Policies for the Middle Class
The Brookings Institution’s Future of the Middle Class Initiative will hold an event on how housing policies impact middle-class families, who are increasingly facing affordability challenges. Brookings Fellow Jenny Schuetz will present a new report, and California State Senator Scott Wiener, sponsor of the “More Homes Act,” will give the keynote address. One panel will review land use regulation; a second will discuss taxes, fees and housing costs. The event will be held at Brookings in Washington, D.C., from 1-4:45 p.m. Click here to register.
