May 14 – Perspectives for Reducing Intergenerational Poverty and Promoting Mobility
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine are hosting a seminar series focused on Reducing Child Poverty and Promoting Intergenerational Mobility. This second seminar in the series will take place on May 14, as part of the National Academies’ Board on Children, Youth, and Families’ semi-annual meeting and will focus on the latest research from the social and behavioral sciences on efforts to reduce intergenerational poverty. Speakers include Greg Duncan, University of California – Irvine; Isabel Sawhill, Brookings Institution; Kenneth Dodge, Duke University; Flávio Cunha, Rice University; Drew Bailey, University of California, Irvine; Chloe Gibbs, University of Notre Dame; Margaret Burchinal, University of Virginia; and Rucker Johnson, University of California, Berkeley.
