March 9 Forum – Disrupting the Cycle of Gun Violence: A Candid Discussion with Young Chicago Residents

Despite some progress on reducing gun violence in American cities, communities of concentrated poverty continue to endure high levels of homicides and shootings. The Brookings Institution will host a panel of young people from Chicago to discuss their experiences with gun violence and possible solutions to the issue, moderated by former U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. The event will be held at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., from 3-4 p.m. EST.
