Posted on

Millions of American families have little to no savings and are vulnerable to financial shocks such as disruptions to income or medical emergencies. The Urban Institute will host a discussion about mechanisms by which families can achieve greater financial stability and policies to aid that process. Speakers include Rachel Schneider, senior vice president of the Center for Financial Services Innovation; Lisa Servon, author of The Unbanking of America: How the New Middle Class Survives; and Caroline Ratcliffe, co-director of the Opportunity and Ownership Initiative at the Urban Institute. The event will be held at the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C., from 6-7:30 p.m. EST. Click here to register.
