Making an ‘EMPACT’: Chattanooga job training program aims to combat generational poverty

A new workforce development program in Chattanooga aims to help break families out of cycles of poverty.

“The city’s EMPACT program, which stands for Economic Mobility Program for Advancement in Career Training, provides IT instruction, one on one coaching, and other supports to help put workers on a path toward a livable wage in the tech field.

On Tuesday, we learned how lessons from this program may be able to help guide similar initiatives in order to make lasting change on an even larger scale.”
