Making Americans Healthy in Every Hometown
“‘Last year, Kaiser Permanente and Project for Public Spaces released a detailed report of research making the case that healthy communities foster healthy people. Addressing these issues is the point of a Centers for Disease Control-funded initiative to improve community health—the National Implementation and Dissemination for Chronic Disease Prevention program, known as Partnering4Health. As part of the project, the American Planning Association, the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), the National WIC Association, Directors of Health Promotion and Education and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association are promoting community-based solutions to boost health for Americans of all incomes, ethnicities and regions.”
