Kentucky Senate Passes Medicaid Reform Bill Amid Late-Hour Debate

“LOUISVILLE, Ky. — House Bill 695 passed the Senate Friday night in the eleventh hour. The bill includes changes to Kentucky’s Medicaid program and adds a work requirement to the program.

The subcommittee met briefly and made changes to the 27-page document before it was brought to the floor for discussion.

Republicans pushed HB 695, pointing to how it would improve budgeting and efficiency. The bill also adds oversight through the creation of a board.”
