July 16, 2015: Siena Research Institute – Nationwide poll on the Affordable Care Act
Question: Recently the United States Supreme Court issued several rulings that received widespread national attention. I’m going to mention two of those decisions – neither that actually changes the law in New York – and I’d like you to tell me whether you agree with the Supreme Court ruling, disagree with the ruling or simply don’t know enough about it in order to say. The Supreme Court ruled that under the Affordable Care Act – also known as Obamacare – the federal government may provide assistance to help poor and middle-class people buy health insurance through federally-operated health insurance exchanges, in addition to state-operated exchanges. Do you agree with that ruling, disagree with that ruling, or do you not have enough information to say?
