July 10 Forum — Reexamining the Data on Extreme Poverty
American Enterprise Institute (AEI) researcher Bruce Meyer will present new data on extreme poverty in the United States, arguing that most current literature overstates the number of Americans who live on just a few dollars per day. A panel discussion will follow, featuring Laura Wheaton, senior research associate at the Urban Institute; Scott Winship, director of the Social Capital Project; and James Ziliak, professor of economics at the University of Kentucky. The event will be held at AEI in Washington, D.C., from 9:30-11 a.m. EDT. Click here to register.
