January 26 Webcast – Criminalizing Poverty
Peter Edelman’s new book Not a Crime to Be Poor: The Criminalization of Poverty in America examines the systemic ways that poverty in the U.S. leads to involvement with the criminal justice system (we interviewed Edelman about the book in November). The Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law will host a conversation with Edelman, Shriver Center president John Bouman, and Nusrat Choudhury, senior staff attorney at the ACLU.
