Improving economy lifts incomes, lowers poverty in in Forsyth County
“New estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau show incomes rose and poverty levels dropped by many measures in Forsyth County between 2013 and 2017. The information points to a slow but steady improvement in the economy that is gradually putting the effects of the 2008 recession behind us, said Russell Smith, a geographer at Winston-Salem State University.”
