Idaho voters approve Medicaid expansion for low-income adults

Supporters turned to a ballot initiative after years of failing to get expansion through the Republican-controlled state legislature. The campaign got a boost this past week when Gov. Butch Otter (R) endorsed expansion. Supports say the measure would expand coverage to 62,000 low-income adults making 138 percent or less of the federal poverty level — about $17,000 for an individual and $25,000 for a family of four.”
