Hope Center opens to help families in Northwest Dayton fight poverty

Posted on

“Ward said this area specifically could use this help, ‘We selected the Northwest Dayton area because we that the community has experienced a lot of disinvestment over the last 20 years. From one business leaving after another, one service after another really kind of leaving the area. This is just a real sign of hope to see the momentum of a new building with services in the neighborhood.’

Partners of the center say this region has seen a lot of disparities in population health and this is an opportunity to mitigate some of those concerns.

The hope is to meet the diverse and changing needs of the community.”
