February 27-28 – One Nation Indivisible? America 50 Years After the Kerner Commission

Fifty years ago this March, the Kerner Commission issued a seminal report on racial division and disparities in the United States, concluding that the nation was “moving toward two societies, one black, one white – separate and unequal.” With many of the same issues still plaguing the country, the findings of a 50-year update to the report will be released at two events in Washington, D.C., cosponsored by the Learning Policy Institute, the Eisenhower Foundation, and the Economic Policy Institute.
