Pope Francis’ historic visit to the United States last year highlighted the links between Americans’ religious convictions and current policy debates, particularly on issues affecting low-income Americans. Georgetown University’s Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life will host a discussion on the intersections of religion and politics. Speakers include Elizabeth Dias, religion correspondent for TIME magazine; Kirsten Powers, columnist for USA Today; and Luke Russert, congressional correspondent for NBC News.
